And so it begins...

In 1934 a young and eager entrepreneur named Nick Crocker, purchased Broadway Movers, a local Trenton moving business including one truck. During a time in our history when the future looked bleak, Nick persevered despite never knowing where his next job would be coming from, or his next meal!

Our first official office was in a row home on Centre Street in the heart of Trenton, in an office that doubled as a home. The following years brought a lot of ups and downs, a world war and service in the Navy, but Broadway survived.

Durand Avenue 1950s- 2022

Located at 130 Durand Avenue, the old Duetzville School was closed in 1927. Sometime around 1950, Nick purchased the old school and added a large extended garage for his ever expanding truck fleet. The old classrooms of the 4 room schoolhouse, originally built around 1856, provided the perfect space for him to start a storage business in association with his growing moving company. Eventually the large garage became more space for more storage, and generations of Crockers continued to occupy the original offices on Durand Avenue thru 2022.

The Next Chapter

In 2021 Broadway entered new chapter at a new location! A larger warehouse with lots of space and plenty of room for our truck fleet. As we embark on this next phase of Broadway Moving and Storage, we are look to continue the legacy of our past. Blood, sweat, and tears have been poured into Broadway by not only our family, but also our valued employees over 85 years. We hope we have and continue to make you proud Nick Crocker!
